The rules, with live numbers
Every kill, the next gun.
Gunrun is a gun game in the browser. Everybody starts on the same pistol; every kill hands you the next gun of the round's ladder, 24 guns up to the golden knife, and the first stab with the golden knife wins the round. The top three of every round split its prize in SOL, sent to the address they pasted. Free to play, no wallet to connect.
The game
- A roundRooms of 12, 5:00 on the clock, everybody for themselves. You land in a round the moment you press PLAY; the room is filled to 8 so there is always someone to fight.
- The ladder24 rungs, drawn fresh every round from 25 guns (pistols, SMGs, rifles, shotguns, snipers, a machine gun, a minigun, a rocket launcher, a grenade launcher, a crossbow, a railgun), then the golden pistol, then the golden knife. A kill or an assist (25 damage or more in the last 8 seconds) moves you up one rung, straight to the next gun.
- The knifeQ or E switches to your knife at any time. A knife kill sends the victim one rung DOWN. A stab from behind is a one-hit backstab. Dying by your own hand (your own blast, a fall) also costs a rung.
- Golden pistol, golden knifeRung 23 is the golden pistol: one shot, one kill. Rung 24 is the golden knife: faster, a double jump, and the first kill with it wins the round. If the clock runs out first, whoever is furthest up the ladder wins.
- Moving and shootingWASD moves, Shift sprints, Space jumps, Ctrl crouches. Click fires, right-click aims down the sights, R reloads; ammo never runs out. Heads take more. Health comes back after four seconds out of fire. Dropped: back in three seconds, with two seconds of a spawn shield.
- Places1st is the winner, then the next two furthest up the ladder (ties: more kills, fewer deaths, who got there first). A paid place needs at least three kills in the round: nobody is paid for hiding.
- Free modesTeam gun game: two teams climb one ladder together; a golden-knife kill wins it for the team. Private rooms with a four-letter code. Both are free play, no prize.
The guns
Every round draws 22 of these for rungs 1 to 22 (never two of the same family in a row), then the golden pistol and the golden knife.

A fishing port in the afternoon sun: tall coloured houses on the harbour street, a fish market hall with a loft, a container yard under a gantry crane, a warehouse with catwalks, a basin you wade through and a lighthouse to climb.

A trading post in a canyon at noon: a bazaar under striped awnings round a dry well, an adobe kasbah with roof terraces and a water tower, a motel, a gas station and a cargo plane come down on a hangar roof.

Frostworks
An old brick factory in the snow: the machine hall with a ring of catwalks, two smoking chimneys, a rail siding with wagons, a frozen pond, an office block with a radio mast.

Sugar Rooftops
A candy town at sunset: pastel houses with walkable tops joined by striped bridges, jump pads in the streets, giant sweets and a cupcake tower in the sprinkled square.
The money
- Where it comes fromEvery trade of $GRUN pays a creator fee. Those fees fill the pool; 2% of them buys $GRUN back on the market and burns it.
- The potEvery fee report puts 30% straight into the pot; the rest waits in the reserve and flows in at 25% an hour.
- A round's prizeWhen a round starts, 15% of the pot is set aside for it: all of that with 3 or more people in the room, a share of it with fewer.
- The split1st, 2nd and 3rd take 70, 20, 10% of it, sent in SOL to the address each pasted. What nobody takes goes back to the pot. Team rounds and private rooms are free play.
- Small prizesA prize under 0.0007 SOL is kept for you and goes out with your next one (an empty wallet cannot receive less).
